10th Annual Benefit Gala

Without Permission is celebrating it’s 10th Annual “A Night at the Derby” Benefit Gala on February 17, 2023. This is an unforgettable evening for us to come together as a community to share our commitment to ending the tragedy of sex trafficking/exploitation on our local boy and girls. 


This year as a community you have helped us serve over 764 victims and their families, and establish Just His House day center. Here we provide trauma-informed care through programs such as Seeking Safety, dance therapy, equine therapy, counseling, Bible study, cooking class, and Ending the Game.  We are serving our male survivors with new dedication and resourcing.  Our volunteer base of men has multiplied and united around disrupting demand through “cyber patrols”.  This front line work address a purchaser’s addiction.  All this while bringing prevention on to Stanislaus County School campuses, reaching over 3,000 students this year.


Let’s not forget the hard work of developing and leading our local partnerships, securing funding, 209 Freedom Project task force, trafficker convictions, sting operations, federal, state, county, and city honors acknowledging our efforts to serve, love, and protect our communities.

How much are tickets/sponsorships?

When can I purchase tickets/sponsorships?

Ticket sales go live January 3rd, and we are expected to sell out. Tickets & sponsorships are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and once we sell out all ticket sales will be closed.

What are the venue details for the event?

Our Annual Benefit Gala is held at the Martin G. Petersen Event Center in downtown Modesto. The address is 720 12th Street, Modesto. Doors open at 6pm and the Gala concludes at 9pm. 

Is there free parking?

Free parking is available in 3 locations:

  • Martin G. Petersen Event Center, side lot
  • 12th Street Parking Garage (820 12th Street) free parking available only after 5:30pm, on the 7th floor only.
  • 14th Street Parking Lot (between G & H Street)

Dress/attire recommendations?

Our event is Kentucky-derby themed so we recommend joining in on the celebration by coming dressed in your best Derby-wear! Both men & women will have the opportunity to enter our coveted Derby Hat Contest and one lucky winner will be crowned for the 2023 year.

What does my ticket include?

Admission tickets give you full access to the Gala evening. Plated 3-course dinner/dessert, drinks, Derby Hat Contest, photobooth, Nightingale Coffee & Tea specialty drinks, raffle/silent auction, and Derby Bucks to get you started on the live horse racing throughout the evening! We’ve got a wonderful night planned for you to enjoy.
